For the first time ever, the Craft Beer Conference is happenning right here in Washington D.C. March 26- 29.  So, what exactly is the CBC? A variety of events such as, educational brewing seminars, bars crawls provided with shuttle service, art and music events showcasing breweries from across the nation plus much more!

Some featured events include Amber Waves;  a brewery art expo.  The visual art displayed at the showcase will also be auctioned off online after the event. Some of the breweries hosting are Flying Dog, Lagunitas (my favorite brewery!), Dogfish Head, and more.

Festival De Cans, held at the 9:30 club is a film festival based on breweries in the craft beer industry who are showcased at the event.  The festival features our local friends Flying Dog and Starr Hill as one of my favorites, Brooklyn Brewery.

The East Coast vs. West Coast Punk Rock Brew Tour is a day of moshing to iconic bands in the hardcore scene.  This is your opportunity to head bang with the sound of D.C. legends the Bad Brains representing the east and other bands like Black Flag representing the west.  Not to mention the great music will be in combination with great craft beer.

To attend the events within the CBC one must be more than a beer lover, the conference is geared towards professionals in the industry whether it’s running a brewpub or packaging your product.  The many different events provides an excellent networking opportunity among others who share a passion for brewing.
