I've never had anything but Blue Moon from Blue Moon (you know, the usual Blue Moon). I do not like Blue Moon but that's no reason to hold it against this beer.
Look-reddish brown. Not much of a head.
Smell-i get the malt and wheat. Not much orange in my nose.
Taste-a hint (a very small hint) of orange on the lips.
Mouth-very nice malt in the mouth with tasty caramel flavor. Medium bodied and very smooth (although I'm tasting this after an IPA so take that with a grain of salt).
Overall-i actually enjoyed this. Great malt taste in the mouth. I really liked the caramel taste. If it had a bit more orange peel flavor, it'd be very good. Give it a whirl.
About Valencia Grove Amber:
Maybe it’s not time to shed that winter coat just yet, but we’re hoping this beer gets you one step closer. Valencia Grove Amber is for all those in-between days when you try to coax spring out by wearing short sleeves or flip-flops. You’re still cold. We get it. Cozy up with roasted malts, Valencia orange peel, and a touch of wheat for a hint of citrus that’s ripe for the season.
