While Scott Weiland is touring and preparing to release another solo record, the Stone Temple Pilots topic always comes up in his interviews. It should, that band is the reason Scott is where he is today, for better or worse.
He was talking to UT San Diego and they asked Weiland why he was fired from the band in 2013.
"I can't really go into details, because it hasn't been resolved yet. But, basically, we came to a point where we just didn't have - there wasn't the same kind of mutual respect for one another, there was no more communication. The band was very segregated; it wasn't special anymore, which made me really bummed out. That's all I can say."
I guess legally there are still contracts and royalties and everything else preventing Scott from talking more about it. At least he doesn't seem angry and it isn't sending him in a downward spiral. Had this been 10 years ago, things probably would have been a lot different. I'm glad to see Scott moving forward with his life and his music.
