The NFL will suspend Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice for two games.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Rice will miss the Ravens' first two games against AFC North opponents, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh.  He will also be fined $58,000.

Rice and his then-fiance Janay Palmer were arrested for fighting at a casino in Atlantic City.

In May, Rice pleaded not guilty to a third-degree aggravated assault charge.  Later, he was accepted into a Pre-Trial intervention program.  If he completes the program, the charges will be dropped.

Rice and Palmer are now married.
