There are reports that there might be explosives in toothpaste on airplanes that are headed for the Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

According to NBC News, the United States Department of Homeland Security wants airlines to check containers of toothpaste.  They sent an advisory to airlines that fly to Russia.  The agency has new intelligence on the matter and said this on Wednesday:

"Out of an abundance of caution, (the Department of Homeland Security) regularly shares relevant information with domestic and international partners, including those associated with international events such as the Sochi Olympics."

Many are concerned about the security and safety of athletes and everybody else who is traveling to the Winter Olympics.
