The Red Hot Chili Peppers will perform at halftime of Sunday's Super Bowl. But, prior to that show, the band played a pre-Super Bowl party in Brooklyn.
The Chili Peppers tore through their hits and bassist Flea made a big announcement. He told the crowd, "We're just about to go into a period of hibernation and make a new record."
According to Rolling Stone, the bassist saw the Super Bowl weekend as "one last blowout" before the new album work begins.
I'm With You, the band's tenth studio album, released in 2011. Their self-titled debut turns 30 in August.
