The wait is finally over.

Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to release a new single from their yet-untitled 11th studio album. The song is titled "Dark Necessities" and will debut on Thursday, May 5th according to the band's Twitter and Instagram pages.

The song marks the band's first single since 2012 and the new album, which is expected to drop sometime this year, will be the first since 2011's I'm With You.

The new album is being produced by Danger Mouse. The Chili Peppers had worked with Rick Rubin on their previous 6 albums, starting with 1991's Blood Sugar Sex Magik.
