After receiving criticism from local media, the Fashion Meets Music Festival in Columbus, Ohio decided to drop R. Kelly from its lineup.
Last week, a band called Saintseneca announced that they would not play the festival after learning that R. Kelly was booked as the headliner. A local radio station also dropped their sponsorship of the event.
In a statement, the festival organizers explained the decision, "FMMF and R. Kelly have decided to part ways. We appreciate the ongoing support of our Festival partners and look forward to kicking things off next month."
Over the past two decades, R. Kelly has been accused of various sexual assaults. He was once indicted on multiple accounts of making child pornography. He was found not guilt on those charges.
