While playing a show at St. Louis' Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in 2010, Kings of Leon stopped a show after pigeons relieved themselves on members of the band, particularly bassist Jared Followill.
The band cancelled the show.
You can't really see it happen in the video below. But, around the 1:12 mark, you'll notice drummer Nathan Followill wipe his face and have some sort of reaction that gets the attention of the crew. Later, Jared also wipes his face.
On Thursday night, Kings of Leon returned to the venue. Luckily, for both the band and fans, no bird crapped on anybody.
Friends of the band teased Jared prior to the show.
Nathan reported that all went well at the show.
Thank you St Louis for an amazing night & thank you pigeons for a shit free show. Catch y'all on the flip side.— nathan followill (@doctorfollowill) August 1, 2014
