Joan Jett released a new album called Unvarnished on September 30.  The first song on the album is called Any Weather.  Jett recorded the song with Foo Fighters front-man Dave Grohl in his Studio 606.

Jett tells Rolling Stone that she wanted to write with Grohl for a long time.  Grohl invited her to his studio and they did Any Weather.  Jett says:

"Just the two of us cut it in the studio. He played the drums. I played the rhythm guitar, and I just kind of hummed the melody and sang the chorus. Then he went and put on some bass and lead guitar and rhythm guitar. Then we got whatever crew members were around and had them do some background vocals. It was a really fun thing. I finished the lyrics a little later."

Jett and the Foo Fighters appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman in 2011.  They played Jett's classic, Bad Reputation.
