We continue to sample beers from breweries that will be at the Maryland Craft Beer Festival in Frederick on Saturday.

Listen to DC101 this week for your chance to win tix to this sold out event!

Look-Amber in color with a layer of foam coating the top.

Smell-The aroma of bread in my nose is the first scent. Upon opening, I also get malt but that dissipates rather quickly.

Taste-That same breadiness is first on the tongue followed by a hearty barley taste.

Mouth-Medium bodied with a slightly hoppy finish.

Overall-I'm a Pale Ale guy so this is right up my alley. It's a hearty beer that would be perfect when friends come over to watch the game. Might be a bit heavy for a summer session but a good beer nonetheless.

About Primal Pale Ale:

A golden, dry, slightly hoppy pale ale. Refreshing & Balanced. Notes of Pine & Citrus in the aroma, earthy middle, clean finish 28 IBU’s, 4.9 ABV.
