Here's another beer that will be available at the On Tap Can Jam Beer Festival this Saturday.

I've never heard of this brewery before but that's what makes this journey so awesome!

The discovery!

Look-Golden brown

Smell-Hops right off but immediately balanced by sweet malt aroma.

Taste-I wish my pallette was more mature so I could tell you the different hop taste I get...but alas, I'm still a noob. It's not piney hop though if that helps. The malts also balance out the taste as well.

Mouth-Light to medium bodied. Very crisp and refreshing in my mouth. A tad dry. Very pleasant hoppy, sweet aftertaste.

Overall-A good Pale Ale. The balance is just a bit off for me. I would have liked the hops to linger just a hair longer before the malt kicks in.

About Whale's Tail:

Wonderfully balanced with Maris Otter malt, hints of crystal malt and generously hopped with East Kent Goldings, it has a rich honey color and fruity hop aroma. It is named in honor of Nantucket's whaling history.
